Laguna Niguel Newborn Photographer | Baby Riley’s mom had booked her newborn photography session with me a month or so prior to her delivery. Like every newborn booking I was very excited to meet her and her little newborn. Baby Riley arrived a little early so we moved her tentative date up a bit. Mom E had screen shot some images from my site that she really liked and wanted of her newborn baby. Her favorite favorite shot was the first one here where Baby Riley is laying in a cream colored flokati rug with a scarf wrapped around her. I hope I did not let her down because she looks absolutely gorgeous in it. She and her parents first came in on Friday and towards the end of our session that day Baby Riley had had just enough and I wasn’t able to capture the flokati shot. 🙁 My workflow is doing flokati and floor props last so when we got to the flokati setup I could tell it wasn’t going to happen. It happens. You never know when your newborn says I’m done! I couldn’t let this first-time mom go without her favorite newborn photo so I offered to have her come back in on Tuesday. Second time was a charm. We fed her and got her into a nice cozy studio and I was able to capture this beautiful newborn portrait for her sweet mom and dad! And even got a close up of her smiling!
So the black and white image of this lovely new family is for me and the colored version is for mom. It seems a lot of portrait photographers gravitate towards black and white images or is it me just imagining it? They look so beautiful. I love photographing the beginning of new families! Congratulations to the “F” Family! Baby Riley is just amazing!
