This was this mama’s first maternity session and she did amazing!! Please see my original post with more maternity photos from this beautiful maternity session in Orange County.

Maternity Photographer San Juan Capistrano| You may remember me posting this image awhile back. I envisioned a beautiful dark haired expectant mom in a gorgeous red dress carrying a black umbrella. This is the image that I captured. I recently entered it in the WPPI Members Only First 1/2 Competition and earned a Silver Award! I am very thrilled and honored with the results! Thanks to my two talented hair and makeup gals Hannah and Svetlanna and of course my beautiful model Bonita!

Happy New Year to All of You!!
2014 was full of beautiful babies for me! So many things have changed. One is that converted one of my rooms in my home to a in-home studio. I can’t tell you how wonderful that has been. I was so hesitant to do it because I was afraid of the unknown. But turns out the unknown is pretty darn great! I love having everything I need handy. I know my lighting is going to be perfect every session. I also went from shooting natural light to shooting with studio lights. I must say I do still LOVE shooting in natural light but it isn’t always something I could count on. I love that I can move my light around if I need to where with a window I’m pretty much stuck with it’s position. I am also able to quickly change my flooring setups where when on the road I am only able to tote what can fit in my car and what I am able to carry up and down stairs. I have to get creative for sure.
Fresh 48/Hospital sessions were added to my offerings which I totally love doing! I love capturing newborns when they are only hours old! It’s so amazing!
This year I also was accepted as a volunteer photographer for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. A foundation that provides rememberence photography for those parents suffering a loss of a baby.
I also took the 1st and 2nd place in the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP) / Maternity Division! That was such a great feeling of accomplishment! I look forward to entering more competitions in the near future.
I’d like to thank all my lovely clients who entrusted me to capture images of their adorable little ones and their families! It has been wonderful meeting and seeing some of you again! Thank you so much!
Hope the new year brings everyone much joy and happiness!
