Often I get asked these questions so I thought I’d make an FAQ page.
Where are you located?
My home studio is located in Laguna Niguel. I serve all of Orange County and Los Angeles County.
Are the photos I receive going to be fully edited?
Yes. All your final images will be fully edited and ready for print.
When is the best time to take newborn photos?
I like to schedule newborn sessions within the first two weeks. 5-8 days being optimal.
Do you take last minute newborn sessions?
I do take last minute newborns depending on availability. Please call to check.
Why do you have to do a newborn session within two weeks of birth?
During the first two weeks newborns sleep very soundly. They are also still able to curl up in the cute poses you may have seen in my portfolio. After the two week mark they have grown a lot and wake up frequently from any movement or noises. They also lose a lot of flexibility at this point.
My baby is over 2 weeks old, can you still take photos of her?
Yes, I can. However, if your baby is over 3 weeks old your session will be more lifestyle and less posed.
When should I schedule my maternity session?
I like to schedule maternity sessions at 30-35 weeks. You should call and reserve a date a few months in advance.
How long will it take to see my photos?
You will receive an email with a link to view your images in about one to two weeks from your session date.
Will I get a print release with my digital files?
Yes. You will receive a full print release which entitles you to print as many copies at any size as you wish.
What is styrene?
Styrene is a super smooth plastic mounting substrate that is known for its durability, rigidity and strength. All wall prints are mounted on styrene.
After I place my order when will I receive my product?
Once payment is received your order will be placed. It will take approximately 2-3 weeks for delivery. Please allow additional time for albums which may take up to 4 weeks for delivery.
If I order birth announcements from you how long will it take to receive?
I know a lot of moms would like to get their announcements out as soon as possible so I rush this along. Once payment is received I will mock up your announcement and send a proof for you to approve. Once approved your cards will be drop shipped to your home via FedEx overnight in approximately 3 business days.
Why do my web ready files have your watermark on them?
I have copyright to all images and when posted on the web I request that my images retain my watermark. This will help prevent people from claiming my work as their own.
Do I need to supply my own props?
No, you do not. I have a beautiful supply of newborn props such as hats, headbands, blankets, baskets and furs.
Can I bring my own props?
I do have my own props that I like to use. These keep in line with my photographic style. But if you have a special item you’d like to use I can certainly incorporate it in your session. Please let me know before your session begins. 1 prop limit.
I have an older child and would like to take sibling shots. Is this included?
I do offer certain packages which include sibling shots.
Are parent shots included?
Parent shots are included in some of my packages. Please see my investment page for details.
My baby has a bad rash can you remove this in photoshop?
It really depends on how bad the rash is. However, so far I have not had a problem removing them.
