What Studio Cee Photography Can Offer New Parents
Newborn Photos Orange County| There is a sea of newborn photographers located in Orange County and Los Angeles County. Some have studios and some travel to your home. There are significant differences in the styles that each photographer produces. You definitely have to do your research on who you feel is best suited for you. There are so many factors to consider.
I specialize in newborn, baby and maternity photography. This is my true passion and I love creating fine art pieces for my clients. I do offer two types of newborn sessions. One is very popular right now and is called a “styled” newborn session. The other is called a Fresh 48 Newborn Session which is often referred to as a hosptial session. Both offer unique captures of a newborns life. Below I give you examples of each.
My “Styled” Newborn Photography
My styled newborn sessions are described best as fresh, modern and organic. I use only the highest quality of props such as wraps, scarves, hats, headbands, baskets, buckets and more to style my sessions. These sessions are “posed” to perfection. I have taken several workshops on the art of posing newborns. With these workshops and what I’ve learned on my own I create beautiful modern artwork. I hand select all my newborn props carefully. All of which are soft, natural and subtle. They add to the beauty of your little newborn baby and do not distract from them. I love to stay with softer, neutral or pastel tones as bright colors detract from the subject and I only wish the main focus to be on your precious newborn. I pay careful attention to details, which I feel is so very important when posing little subjects such as babies.

Baby Jackson was photographed at 7 days old. Just the perfect age for me to photograph a newborn. I typically like to schedule newborn sessions 5-8 days old and no older than 2 weeks old. This is when they are still very sleepy and can still curl up to those cuddly poses you may have seen on my site.

Here’s a newborn session I did recently at a clients home. I do travel within the Orange County area if client’s wish to remain at home. I take my studio and props with me so it’s not a problem. I just need a small space where I can setup my lights and backdrops. Baby Madeline was 8 days old here. She had flawless skin. The camera picks up “everything” and when babies have this type of perfect skin it makes post processing go by so much faster.

I recently photographed twin boys who were around 3 weeks old. They were born a little early so the timing worked out fine. They both were awesome during my session. I had an assistant who helped me during this session. I always use one during a multiple session for various reasons such as my sessions run much smoother with one as I am not having to soothe two newborn alone. This makes the session run about the same time as a singleton which I know parents appreciate.

Baby Kade was such a handsome little newborn. I fell in love with him immediately! Look at his hair! WOW! I love to incorporate parent shots when I photograph newborns. I think this is so important to document not just for the parents but for the newborn as well. I know when they grow older they will be thankful they have these photographs.

My Newborn Fresh 48 Work
My Fresh 48 work is more of a documentary type of session. This is where I focus on the first days of a newborns life outside the womb. I capture the beauty of the parents making that connection with their long awaited baby. These are done in the place of birth such as a hospital or birthing center. I like to document babies arrival as real as possible, so props are not used. As implied these sessions are completed within 48 hours of birth.
This session was taken at Hoag Hospital within 13 hours of Baby Joseph’s birth. Gosh he was so adorable and so FRESH! I loved capturing his little wrinkly fingers and feet still pruned from being in the womb. Totally amazing.
